I promised that there would be specials for my existing subscribers, and here is a new one! I just put up my first eBook! No, it's not about Cat Whispering - I promised I wouldn't do that.This is a special for people who subscribe to CatLover only. It's "Cat Urine Odor Solutions."

Training Issue: Introducing Cats
When introducing cats, you want to be sure your existing cat doesn't feel like it's being replaced. This is particularly important when introducing a kitten.You also want to be sure your existing cat can get to the litter box without interference. Make it easy for your cat.
If you are bringing in a dog, be sure to provide a climbing tree that is taller than the grown dog will be. This gives your cat a place to look down on the dog and tease it while remaining safely out of reach.
Give your existing cat a lot of love and attention. This is a good time to institute the "scoop and smooch" technique. It lets the new cat who your baby is and tells your existing cat that it's special. Only do this with your existing cat - and do it every time you come in, whether from going to the end of the driveway or around the world. Every time you come in from outside, you need to do this.
Consistency is the key to all training.
Submit your Photos for the Calendar Contest
The deadline (November 5th) for the 2007 Calendar Contest is fast approaching! Please be sure you get your photos in so that the judges can pick the top 24 photos.You can send photos to "calendar@for-the-love-of-cats.com" or "catadvice@hotmail.com" if you want to send them over the internet. Payment of $15 for entries is required at time of entry submission, but you can purchase through the last calendar available. Please send your credit card information or include an email address for paypal billing. You can also use the calendar form and mail your payment with the entry.
No charges will be made until I have at least 12 photos for the calendar, and all records (except photos, which will be put on the website) will be destroyed if that number is not met.
