As told by his person, Donna M. in Southern California.
Rohan and I became acquainted when Donna came to me for advise. Rohan was a nasty, mean little fellow. He's now mellow and loving.
The photos tell the story:
Rohan went from angry, upset and nasty, to a calm, controllable and loving animal. His person, Donna, does not think of him as an animal, and neither do I, really, but that's what he is. Heck! Thats what WE are!
So, Donna was happy, Rohan was calm. She and her husband decided to get another cat, Arwen. A beautiful Bengal lady. She needed to be spayed, and Rohan was still intact! Now, I do advocate spay/neuter on this site. I know it changes their personalities, and maybe that's a topic for another page. However, in this case, by leaving the cats (both of them) intact, kittens were a certainty!
Arwen got spayed, then, because of a urinary problem, Rohan was neutered. Yes, personalities change, but it takes quite a while in cats that are mature. Rohan is not giving up easily!
I hope you like this visual testimony to "Cat Whispering" and what it can accomplish. Yes, this is by email, and thank goodness it's available! Hey - I have 5 of my own to consider. If I didn't have cats of my own, would you believe me??? If I didn't tell you about them and what we face, would you be inclined to contact me? Probably not. You would get a book at the bookstore and try to muddle through. Maybe. Or ask your vet, who charges you a fortune for an office visit and may or may not be "certified" in animal behavior. I don't claim to be, and I also don't charge as much.
