Attacking me when I get ready to go to bed

by Jill Zammas
(Plantation, Florida)

Willow, my gray tabby, is affectionate when she wants to be. She sleeps right next to me at night, but on some occasions, when I start turning off the lights in the house and go into the bedroom to get ready for bed, she quickly runs AT me and kind of circles me to try to find a place to bite me either on my legs or, if I'm on the bed, on my arms. When I try to get her to go away, she does not budge! She will make this mean kind of howling sound, not a friend meow. She is in "attack mode". The only way that I can sometimes get her out of the room is to continue to spray her with water.

Does anyone have any clues why this is happening and what I can do to stop it?
