attacking the other cats

by Chris
(Greeley, CO)

I have 3 cats--two females, ages 11 (Mariah) and 3 (Pewter), and one male, age 3, (Smudge--brother to Pewter). Smudge has terrorized Pewter to no end.

He waits for her to show up and then chases her into hiding. One time, they got into a scuffle and Smudge injured Pewter (she was bleeding). When this happens, Mariah, then starts chasing Smudge. They got into a fight one time with Mariah injuring Smudge--got him in the eye (it healed without any problems).

This is a daily affair with Pewter confined to the kitchen or bathroom until I get home. Other than that, all 3 cats are loving. Smudge is the biggest beggar there is, and he's very affectionate when he wants something.
