Scaring Her Vet

by Kelly Johnson
(Pasadena, CA)

Is she so scary???

Is she so scary???

My tiny, snuggly little girl Butternut becomes a screaming banshee when the vet picks her up. She's front-paw declawed, 9 years old, has tiny teeth, and weighs only 6 pounds, but the vet and all his staff are nervous around her.

Last time I took her for her annual checkup, the staff asked if they could give her a "cocktail" to make the exam easier (on them). People could hear her screeching all the way out in the waiting room.

They don't believe me when I tell them she's really a cuddly little ball of love at home! Maybe I'm the one who should have a cocktail before her next checkup!

~ LOL!! She likely doesn't like someone with cold hands or smelly strangers, touching her. How is she with your friends?
